Hou and I first asked a man sitting in front of the U bookstore eating meal. However, he refused to talk with us since he was in a hurry? Then, we decided that we should find someone in the bus station; since it might increase the chance of people willingness to talk to us when they are waiting for the buses. We first introduced ourselves and asked: “how would you describe US to a German person who has never been to states?” He responded: “The Internet is so informative these days, they probably know a lot about us already.” He also admitted that we have lots of race issues here, but he thought Germany has a bigger problem than us. He had strong opinions on many issues so it was very interesting talking to him.
